VENUE

Hyderabad International Convention Centre (HICC) is managed by Accor and jointly owned by Emaar Properties PJSC Dubai and Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation Ltd. HICC is the first purpose-built and state-of-the-art convention facility, the first of its kind in South Asia. HICC in every aspect, be it infrastructure, services or technology, compares with the best in the world. It has an internal hall measuring 6,480 square meters, which can be partitioned into six smaller halls. The pre-function foyer area itself exceeds 6400 square meters. HICC is proud to be the winner of the ‘Best Convention Centre’ National Tourism Award by Incredible India for three years in a row. Novotel Hyderabad Convention Centre adjacent to HICC is a 5-star 287 rooms hotel, built to suit the requirements of the discerning business traveler. ACCOMMODATION - RECOMMENDED HOTEL INFORMATION

The participants are advised to make their accommodation arrangements early. Special rates have been arranged at the Venue Hotel - Novotel (5*), and the Aditya Sarovar (5*). The deadline for room reservation at the conference rate is August 15th, 2013. Use reservation code (Access code/IATA code) MSC 2013 to get the conference rate.

Please refer to the hotel reservation terms listed at the respective hotel online reservation web site. The summary of terms (below) is provided for your convenience (the conference organizers take no responsibility whatsoever).

Reservations

• In order to benefit from the special agreed rates the conference participants have to make reservations no later than August 15th, 2013.
• On-line Hotel reservation system requires credit card information in order to guarantee payment. The hotel reservation without credit card information is not possible.
• After the deadline (August 15th, 2013) special rates will be applicable depending on availability.
• The special agreed rates are valid 3 days prior to and after the conference.

Cancellation policy

• On-line reservation can be canceled without any charge by up to 30 days prior to arrival date.
• If the reservation is cancelled between 29 and 15 days prior to arrival date, the hotel reserves the right to charge the participant's credit card for a one (1) night stay.
• If the reservation is cancelled between 14 and 8 days prior to arrival date, the hotel reserves the right to charge the participant's credit card for two (2) night stay.
• If the reservation is cancelled within 7 days prior to arrival date or in case of no-show, the hotel reserves the right to charge the participant's credit card for the total amount of stay.

Local transfers to/from the Conference Hotels from/to the City

The easiest and the cheapest way to get to/from the City from/to the hotels is by taxis (or) auto rickshaws.

Taxis
Hotel front desks will normally be able to arrange reliable transport by taxi, but they will require 15-30 minutes’ notice in order to do so. Taxis are willing to wait for you during your intermediate stops at reduced charges. It is simplest to inform the front desk the places you wish to visit, the total time you wish to spend and the number of persons travelling. They would then be able to book the taxi for you at a fixed rate.

Auto Rickshaws
Three-wheeled auto rickshaws (also known as "Autos") are a convenient way to travel within the city. They cost half the fare of a taxi, but are more expensive than buses. Usually autos are metered, but it is good to fix the fare before they take you for a ride. They can be found clustered together in auto stands around the city. If there is no auto-stand near you, you can hail autos by standing on the side of the road and hailing an empty one.

Currency
The Rupee is the official currency of India. The Indian Rupee may be abbreviated in any of the following formats INR, Rs, or symbol

INR are available as paper notes in denominations of 5, 10, 50, 100, 500 and 1000.
INR are also available as coins in denominations of 1, 2, 5 and 10.

Changing money in India is very simple. Upon arrival in India, foreign currencies can be converted into Rupees at foreign exchange counters at airports. These outlets are open 24 hrs. a day / x7 days a week. You can also find Foreign Exchange desks at star-rated hotels.

Traveler’s cheques may not be accepted at all banks or hotels. There are Automatic Teller Machines (ATMs) which dispense cash throughout the city. Although these machines are linked to a specific local bank, all major credit and debit cards, both domestic and international, should be accepted. Kindly note that certain credit cards may not be accepted.
 
Airport transfer to/from the Conference Hotels

Rajiv Gandhi International Airport is located about 30 km south of downtown Hyderabad. Bus transport between Rajiv Gandhi International Airport and various parts of the city is serviced by Pushpak – Airport Liner and run by the APSRTC. Pushpak – Airport Liner service covers all corners of the city with convenient locations for pick-up and drop-off with round the clock frequency (Every half hour). This service costs INR 200 for a one way pick-up/drop-off. Taxis are also available aplenty, but these are more expensive (INR 1500 for a one way pick-up/drop-off).
